First Domestic DPSS Laser-based OLED Delamination Device Successfully Developed

     Laser delamination, known as Laser-Lift-Off (LLO), has long been monopolized by South Korean equipment suppliers as a core process in flexible OLED manufacturing. Through a combination of technology introduction and innovation, YaweiAios successfully collaborated closely with the German company ToonQuick, significantly shortening the R&D process and achieving key performance indicators and process capabilities on par with imported equipment.

The successful development of our DPSS-LLO laser delamination device marks a significant breakthrough in the domestication of internationally advanced laser technology.

【DPSS Laser Delamination Device】

DPSS laser delamination refers to the process of using solid-state nanosecond ultraviolet lasers to separate organic light-emitting display components (PI film) from glass substrates. Compared to traditional Q-switched pulsed laser delamination, DPSS laser delamination offers advantages such as stable energy input, high production efficiency, and the elimination of the need for periodic replacement of working gases.

According to media reports, Samsung Display's A3 line mainly adopts DPSS LLO devices due to the lower operational and maintenance costs of DPSS technology compared to Q-switched laser systems, and its ability to reduce the overall number of equipment purchases.

The DPSS laser optical system integrated into YaweiAios' delamination device achieves an energy utilization rate of over 85%. The jointly developed "Z" folded optical path by China, Germany, and South Korea reduces the entire linear spot optical system length by 30%. The reshaped linear spot length ranges from 400 to 750mm (adjustable), with a width of 30μm. This system can simultaneously handle laser delamination processes for both yellow and transparent PI products, significantly enhancing process quality and efficiency.
